As a young twenty-one-year-old from the Philippines in 2002, Arnel Silverio, the presiding CEO and founder of Bright Care Homes, came from small, humble beginnings when he held his first caregiving position at a residential care facility for the elderly. After a year, he learned to take care of people with intellectual disabilities and realized how much he enjoys being around them by helping them live their best lives through optimal patient care. Originally completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Arnel did not foresee that his future will eventually be carved out of his passion in helping people. He persevered to learn how to further his participation in his clients’ care and eventually sought an opportunity to be a Program Coordinator at a local Day Program for people with intellectual disabilities in 2010. A couple of years later, in 2012 with a strong ten-year experience as a direct caregiver, Arnel finally decided it is time to open and manage his first residential care facility for the elderly– Bright Minds Residential Care- to provide a more individualized care to his clients. Presently, he is serving several residential care facilities for both adults and elderly with intellectual disabilities, along with his reliable healthcare partners, in the cities of Fairfield, Suisun City, Vacaville, Santa Rosa and San Diego. Arnel continually envisions to embrace people with disabilities by helping them live their lives to the fullest through his comprehensive, individualized services at each licensed facility – as every person in the community deserves to have.
